Founder & Operations Manager

Varun Kohli : An engineer turned craftsman, His journey began when he joined his parents in the childcare industry in 2019, where he witnessed firsthand the importance of creating safe and inspiring environments for children. This experience, coupled with his passion for creating, played a pivotal role in the inception of Against the Grain in March 2022.

Sales & Marketing

Jordan Kohli : Jordan has worked alongside Varun and his family for the past two years, sharing the responsibility of sourcing children's toys and resources, event planning, and sales management.

 

 

Directors

Raj and Nikita Kohli: Owners of Bright Beginnings Early Learning Centres in New Zealand, Raj and Nikita have been trusted members of the childcare industry for over 10 years. Their experience in nurturing the development of countless young minds has played a key role in our product selection and commitment to quality.

 

 

 

Product Approval Officer

Nikolai Kohli: The youngest member of our team, Nikolai, arrived just 7 weeks before the launch of our business, taking on the role as our Product Approval Officer. His infectious joy and the comfort that our products bring him motivates us to continue doing what we do.
